25th Annual Holiday Stroll
December 1-2, 2017

The Holiday Stroll has been a tradition in Skowhegan for a quarter of a century. It starts with a holiday parade Friday evening and continues Saturday morning and afternoon with a host of free activities and treats throughout and near downtown, including pictures with Santa and the popular elf scavenger hunt!

Friday

Sign up for a Phone Call from Santa
9 a.m.-5 p.m., the Children’s Cottage, Water St.
Sign up during business hours at the Children’s Cottage (9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday) anytime from Nov. 22 through Dec. 3 to receive a phone call from Santa in December!

Holiday Bazaar

HVSC Lights to Remember
5:30 p.m., Federated Church, Island Ave.
This annual remembrance ceremony will feature a reading of names and lighting of candles. Sponsored by Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County.

Holiday Parade
7 p.m., downtown
Starts at the Skowhegan Savings parking lot on Elm St., travels down Madison Avenue and Water Street, and ends past Redington Memorial Home.

Hot Cocoa and Coffee
7 p.m., Skowhegan Masonic Lodge, Water St.
During the parade the Masonic Lodge will be giving out hot cocoa and coffee (donations accepted).

Saturday

Breakfast and Photos with Santa
 8-10 a.m., Tewksbury Hall, behind the Federated Church, Island Ave. Photos with Santa are $5, photos be printed on the spot and all proceeds go to town revitalization projects. Breakfast will include eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes; adults are $5, kids over 10 years old are $2, kids under 10 years old are FREE.

After Breakfast Ornament Making
8-10 a.m., Tewksbury Hall, Skowhegan Area Middle School Student Council will offer ornament crafts for kids after they’ve eaten breakfast.

Bake Sale to Benefit the Skowhegan Food Cupboard
9 a.m.-1 p.m., Chamber of Commerce

Tessiers Farm Petting Zoo
9 a.m.-1 p.m., Municipal Lot

Cornville Regional Charter School Craft and Vendor Fair
9 a.m.-3 p.m., Downtown location
