Mimah is from St. Paul, Minnesota. Upon meeting a new friend and mentor in 2018, she was introduced to the world of outdoor recreation. She is passionate about sharing her love of the outdoors with others and fostering an appreciation of nature. Her favorite activities include whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. Upon completing a B.S. in Business Management and Organizational Leadership, with a global concentration, she worked in sales operations and marketing. She moved to Maine in February 2023 and is excited about the opportunity to explore the New England!
Kristina Cannon, President & CEO
As the president and CEO of Main Street Skowhegan (MSS), Kristina Cannon is the central coordinator of the organization’s strategic projects. She spends much of her time managing and fundraising for the Skowhegan River Park—an economic and community development initiative to construct a river park for paddling, surfing, and tubing in Skowhegan’s industrial downtown river gorge that will feature a major trail network and riverfront promenade. To date, Kristina has raised more than $8 million for these projects.
Under her leadership, MSS is spearheading a comprehensive approach to community transformation through outdoor recreation by weaving together infrastructure development, programming & gear, mentorship and third spaces for youth, and career pathways—all with an eye toward inclusion and equity. The organization also provides business planning support and programming as part of a regional hub-and-spoke entrepreneurial ecosystem partnership. Main Street Skowhegan’s future commercial kitchen incubator will cultivate local food startups and grow the region’s vibrant food economy.
Main Street Skowhegan was recently awarded $484,500 from the Maine Office of Tourism to develop a destination development plan and brand strategy for the region, and in December 2023, a regional coalition led by MSS, secured an Economic Development Administration Distressed Area Recompete Pilot Program Phase 1 Strategy Development Grant of $425,000 to create and connect people to good jobs. In addition, the coalition was invited as one of 22 national finalists—out of more than 500 applicants—to apply for up to $50 million in Phase 2 Implementation funding in the spring of 2024.
Kristina was named the 2023 Maine Outdoor Industry Leader of the Year, the Mid-Maine Chamber 2020 Outstanding Professional, and was a 2019 Mainebiz Next List honoree, recognizing dynamic individuals who are changing Maine's economy and making a significant impact in their industry. Under her leadership, MSS was awarded, by the Maine Office of Tourism, the 2019 Governor’s Conference on Tourism Award for Marketing & Promotion for the organization’s work to promote the town and region during the 2018 Skowhegan Moose Festival.
A Maine Network Partners Fellow, Kristina values collaboration and serves on several boards and committees, including Maine Outdoor Brands Membership Committee, the Redington-Fairview General Hospital Board, the Town of Skowhegan's Village Partnership Committee, and the Kennebec Valley Tourism Council as Marketing Committee Chair. Kristina is also a Skowhegan Savings Bank Corporator, and a member of the steering committee for Maine's 10-Year Outdoor Recreation Economy Roadmap initiative.
Kristina has 17 years of experience in the marketing communications field, having worked at a Boston advertising agency and in the communications office at Colby College. Kristina graduated magna cum laude from Emerson College with a bachelor’s in integrated marketing communications and earned a master’s in marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.
A native Mainer, Kristina lives just a mile from her childhood home with her husband, John, and several fur babies. She loves to travel and relishes adventures in the Maine woods while whitewater paddle boarding, mountain biking, skiing, backpacking, camping, and fishing.
Patric Moore, Director of Entrepreneurship
As Business Relations Manager of Main Street Skowhegan, Patric Moore leads our entrepreneurship ecosystem work, which includes but is not limited to, managing the nearly ready-to-launch Skowhegan Center for Entrepreneurship, working on real estate redevelopment projects, and assisting local business owners and entrepreneurs start and grow within Skowhegan.
Patric is an Air Force Veteran where he worked for the last ten years as a Cryptologic Language Analyst in the US Intelligence Community and more recently as the Active-Duty Air Force Recruiter for Central Maine. He is currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University for a bachelor’s in Business Administration and has further plans of attending the University of Southern Maine to earn a Master’s in Policy, Planning, and Management. Originally from Pennsylvania, Patric has come to love Maine through his time spent recruiting and now calls it his home.
In his time off, Patric enjoys traveling across Maine, experiencing the state through the Maine Ale Trail. He also spends most of his time with his dog, Barkley.
Tenley Skolfield, Director of Operations
In her role as Operations Manager at Main Street Skowhegan, Tenley Skolfield is involved with writing grants, assisting with fundraising efforts, planning events, providing community outreach, organizing volunteers, and acting in a supporting role to the Executive Director.
Tenley’s eclectic career comprises over 25 years experience as an administrative professional having worked at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and FedEx Office and LaTanzi, Spaulding, and Landreth LLC, on Cape Cod. She spent 13 years in northern Maine’s town of Eagle Lake where she owned and operated Fish River Lodge and served as selectman for a term. She became a registered Maine Master guide in 1999, specializing in Maine big game and upland bird hunting, trout and salmon fishing, flat water paddling, photo safaris, hiking, and introducing novice and youth to Maine outdoor adventure. She is a life member of the Maine ProfessionalGuides Association.
Tenley studied business administration at New Hampshire College combined with environmental studies course work at Bowdoin College.
A native of Maine and graduate of Mt. Ararat High School, Tenley grew up on Great Island in Harpswell. She moved to Cape Cod in 2017, returning to Maine in 2023 to settle in Solon with her life partner, Kevin Antonovitch, a German shorthaired pointer named Tinker, Arrow the mini rex rabbit, and Hank Bocefus the Russian tortoise. When Tenley isn’t at Main Street Skowhegan she can be found on the water or in the woods of Maine. Her favorite activities are turkey and deer hunting, fishing for brook trout and salmon, paddling on a pond or stream, and trying to explore every nook and cranny of the state.
Celeste Banda, Recompete Grant Coordinator
As Recompete Plan Coordinator, Celeste is working with the Revitalization of Central Maine Coalition led by Main Street Skowhegan on the US Economic Development Administration’s Recompete Pilot Program.
Celeste is a native of Cameron, Texas. A certified Professional Community and Economic Developer and Main Street America Revitalization Professional, Celeste has experience in workforce development, small business development, commercial corridors, and community engagement, organizing, and outreach. Celeste graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies. After graduating from UT Austin, Celeste lived in the Czech Republic for several years and holds a Certificate in International Security from the European Academy of Diplomacy and a Certificate in Economic Development from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute (OU EDI).
Celeste enjoys traveling in her free time and has visited 23 countries. She speaks English, Spanish, and Czech.

Ben Koehler, Skowhegan Outdoors Program Coordinator
Ben manages Main Street Skowhegan's Skowhegan Outdoors program and leads our team of AmeriCorps members serving as Outdoor Rec Facilitators.
Ben is from Orono, Maine, where he grew up canoeing and swimming on the Penobscot River. During his time at UMaine Orono studying Mechanical Engineering, he worked summers whitewater guiding on the West Branch of the Penobscot near Millinocket. After graduating Ben traveled west to work two summers teaching whitewater kayaking on the Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, spending the winters skiing and working at Alta near Salt Lake City. Ben has also worked as a river boarding guide (swimming down rapids with surf fins and a foam board) in New Zealand before returning to his first love, Maine and the West Branch of the Penobscot. Ben can often be found snorkeling down the upper Kennebec or hiking in Baxter State Park. He is excited to get the Skowhegan community outside, and can't wait to surf it up on Skowhegan's future river park.

Mitch Buehler, Videographer and SO Basecamp & Gear Library Coordinator
Mitch is originally from Spokane, Washington where he grew up experiencing everything the great PNW outdoors has to offer. Later he would join the US Navy and travel to multiple countries, reigniting his love for all things outdoors before joining Skowhegan Outdoors in June of 2022. Now our basecamp coordinator Mitch handles all gear rental and repairs in basecamp, as well as loves to share his passion for mountain biking with locals through programming with Skowhegan Outdoors. Mitch also has a love for documenting the amazing outdoor experiences offered through Skowhegan Outdoors and Mainstreet Skowhegan, in the form of video production and creation. Jean Hazelwood, Outdoor Recreation Facilitator & Community Liaison
Jean joins the Skowhegan Outdoors team after relocating to Maine from Roanoke, Virginia in the fall of 2023. Jean brings a wealth of marketing, event, and facility management experience to Skowhegan Outdoors. As an Outdoor Recreation Facilitator, she will assist in outdoor recreational program development and lead community outreach efforts.
An avid hiker and bicycle enthusiast, Jean is excited to continue exploring all that Maine has to offer. Her love of bikes spans several disciplines; mountain, road, gravel, and commuting. She has also competed in cyclocross races. Jean looks forward to sharing her love of the outdoors while cultivating relationships and creating impactful experiences for the Skowhegan Outdoors program.
Greg Hudzina, Outdoor Recreation Facilitator & Program Design
Greg is originally from Connecticut where he began a love of the outdoors through the Boy Scouts and camping regularly with family. After leaving the USAF and working as a mechanic. Greg decided to move to Maine to pursue a life working Outdoors attending the University of Maine Fort Kent for forestry, later graduating from Washington County Community College in Calais, ME with a degree in Outdoor leadership, working in Baxter State Park, and then becoming a Maine guide in whitewater and recreation for many years. For the past 16 years, Greg has lived in Maine and Colorado working as a guide for 13 years.
