Somerset Cultural Planning

In 2016 Main Street Skowhegan partnered with the Wesserunsett Arts Council to form the Somerset Cultural Planning Committee (SCPC). From July 2016 to June 2017 the committee gathered information about cultural resources in Somerset County, including those related to recreation, agriculture, the arts, history, community, and more. We’re using the information to craft a cultural plan that will leverage and promote those resources to help drive tourism to the region and boost the economy.
