2024 Impact Report & 2025 Outlook

As Main Street Skowhegan celebrates 20 years, I’m filled with immense pride and gratitude. We’re leading one of the most ambitious rural revitalization efforts in the country—driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to opportunity, connection, and prosperity right here in central Maine.

Thanks to our dedicated team, committed partners, and generous supporters, we’ve mobilized millions in investment, expanded free outdoor programming for residents of all ages, supported dozens of local entrepreneurs, and laid the groundwork for transformational infrastructure projects that will reconnect Skowhegan to the Kennebec River and to its future.

This work is about more than economic growth—it’s about building a community where people feel proud to live, work, play, and stay. Whether we’re mentoring youth entrepreneurs, creating workforce pathways in the outdoor sector, or developing civic spaces designed for gathering and belonging, we remain laser-focused on making Skowhegan a place of inclusive opportunity and lasting resilience.

As we look ahead to our next 20 years, our team is energized by the work still to come, from launching the Kitchen at 185 and breaking ground on the Skowhegan River Park, to implementing workforce strategies and rolling out a new tourism brand for our region. With continued collaboration and community support, we will keep moving Skowhegan forward—boldly and together.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support is what makes this work possible.
