Trivia Night: Liberty, Libations, & the Lady from Maine
Get ready for the arrival of a rare Dunlap Broadside, one of the first printed copies of the Declaration of Independence, with a special Trivia Night at the Biergarten. Margaret Chase Smith Library’s John Taylor will lead questions covering sports, music, pop culture, current events, and facts about the Declaration of Independence and Margaret Chase Smith.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from the Biergarten’s full menu. The event is open to everyone, and no registration is required.

2026 Maine State Fire Fighters Convention
Skowhegan will host the Maine State Fire Convention in September 2026, bringing together firefighters, first responders, instructors, and industry leaders from across the state.
The convention will feature hands-on training, live demonstrations, equipment and vendor showcases, educational opportunities, networking, and camaraderie. Career and call firefighters, support personnel, and others connected to Maine’s fire service are invited to attend.

This free event will also feature activities for kids and charity raffles benefiting the Somerset Humane Society, Skowhegan Food Cupboard, and Somerset Pet Welfare Alliance. Admission and parking are free.
