Matt DuBois, Board Chair

A Millinocket native and a graduate of the Connecticut Culinary Institute, Matt founded The Bankery & Skowhegan Fleuriste, a bakery and flower shop that he has successfully co-owns and manages alongside his husband and twin brother, for the past fifteen years. During this time, Matt became a Professional Certified Florist, and later earned his Certified Floral Designer title through his dedicated membership with the Maine State Florists and Growers Association. His passion, expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit through these lines of work have led him to becoming an integral part of his community, where he makes constant, significant contributions.

Currently serving on the boards of Main Street Skowhegan, Franklin Savings Bank, and Skowhegan Economic Development Corporation, he plays a vital role in driving the growth and development of this region. Matthew's passion for community service is further demonstrated through his role on the board of the Maine Community Foundation, where he actively works toward supporting various initiatives and programs benefiting the state. Over the past decade, he has also provided support to the Maine Grain Alliance and the Western Mountains Fund-serving Franklin and Somerset counties.

Enthusiastic about giving back, Matthew finds satisfaction in supporting his community's growth and development through events, building enhancement, facade work, financial mentoring, and various partnerships and collaborations. His unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those around him sets him apart.

In addition to Matt’s efforts, his close friends and family have also joined the movement, strongly playing a role in ensuring the vitality of our community by the way of volunteered time, donated products and services, and through creativity and talents. Some of these community functions and initiatives include Somerset Snow-fest, River Fest, the Skowhegan River Park project, Dinner in the Park, Skowhegan Craft Brew Festival, Small Business Saturday, and Holiday Stroll. Matt believes that our connectedness gives us the opportunity to enrich the lives of others in many ways, while helping to make our beautiful, riverfront town a destination for all.

His dedication to community service, entrepreneurship, and supporting local businesses is truly inspiring, as he has made significant contributions to his community through his involvement in various organizations and initiatives.

Brandi Meisner, Vice Chair

Born and raised in Skowhegan, Brandi graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in 1998 and earned her M.B.A. from Thomas College. She also studied abroad at Bond University in Australia. Brandi is a community banker at Skowhegan Savings Bank, specializing in personal and commercial lending. She and her husband, Nahum Meisner of Maine Cedar Hot Tubs, share a beautiful daughter. Brandi brings event organizing and fundraising expertise to the board and is committed to getting more young people involved.

Susie Kent, Treasurer/Chair, Entrepreneurial Ecosystems Committee

Susie is a Commercial Portfolio Manager at Franklin Saving Bank. Based in Skowhegan, she enjoys being an active member of the community and is excited to contribute to the town's ongoing development. Living with her partner and their son, she values both professional success and fostering strong local connections. As she looks forward to the continued growth of Skowhegan, she is passionate about leveraging her expertise to support local businesses and contribute to the towns vibrant future.

Michael LaBrie

Michael LaBrie was born and raised in Oakland, Maine, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Husson University. He currently serves as the Ambulatory Surgery Nurse Manager at Redington Fairview General Hospital where he has worked since 2012. He is actively involved in the community, volunteering as a youth sports coach and serving as Treasurer for the Skowhegan Cal Ripken youth baseball program. Michael is proud to represent Redington Fairview General Hospital and is excited to join the Main Street Skowhegan Board, supporting initiatives that strengthen and grow the community.

Lisa Landry

Lisa grew up in Skowhegan and is actively involved in the community. She earned her bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Maine and went on to earn her law degree at Maine Law in 2011. Lisa returned to Skowhegan and practiced law at Perkins, Townsend, Shay, & Talbot. In 2015 she became director of human resources at Redington-Fairview General Hospital. She is a member and assistant district governor of the Skowhegan Rotary Club and a Kennebec Behavioral Health parent board member. Lisa and her husband, Todd, live in Norridgewock with their family. She is committed to the long-term vitality of the Skowhegan area.

Peter Piconi

Peter is a Business Resilience Advisor at the Sunrise County Economic Council (SCEC). This position blends his passion for entrepreneurship with meaningful community impact. A member of the SCEC Small Business and Entrepreneurship Team, he has the privilege of assisting aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and employers within Washington County's vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, while leading initiatives that connect business owners within key industry clusters and providing personalized one-on-one business advising. Peter loves fostering innovative connections and empowering local businesses to thrive, and he's eager to lean into partnerships that not only enhance the economy but also enrich the lives of the Maine entrepreneurs he's supporting.

Tracie Travers

Tracie Travers is the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for JMG. In this role, she oversees the Aspire Initiatives throughout the state, as well as MELMAV/JMG partnership schools, supported by the MELMAC Education Foundation. Tracie also develops new or deepens existing partners with business and community leaders to benefit students in Maine as they pursue meaningful careers in our state!

I have been sky-diving with my son, surfing with my husband, daughter, and son, wave running in Jamaica and enjoyed gelato in Italy. Anna Staehli Wiser, Owner of Discover Osteopractic Physical Therapy

Anna Staehli Wiser, DPT, FAAOMPT is a lifelong Central Mainer and the owner of Discover Osteopractic Physical Therapy in Skowhegan. With over 20 years of experience as a physical therapist, Anna is passionate about improving the health and well-being of her community through evidence-based care. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, and spending time with her husband and two young sons. Anna is excited to contribute to the revitalization and continued growth of Skowhegan through her work with Main Street Skowhegan.

Christen Dore, Co-Owner of the Old Mill Pub

Christen Dore is a proud mom of three, wife to Ben, and co-owner of the Old Mill Pub in Skowhegan, Maine. For the past 13 years, she’s helped turn the Pub into a welcoming riverside gathering place where locals and visitors alike come to connect over good food and great views. Deeply rooted in the Skowhegan community, Christen is passionate about supporting local events, collaborating with area businesses, and celebrating everything that makes small-town life so special. She brings experience, heart, and a strong sense of community to everything she does—both at the Pub and beyond.

Devin MacMichael

Devin MacMichael is a lifelong resident of Skowhegan and has been a member of the Damon’s Beverage family for nearly 20 years. She brings extensive experience in customer relations and community outreach to the Main Street Skowhegan team and is deeply committed to the revitalization of downtown through fundraising efforts and events that celebrate Skowhegan and encourage community involvement. Devin serves as a board member for the Trustees of Bloomfield Academy and the Skowhegan Free Public Library and is a member of the local Order of Elks. She is passionate about creating inclusive spaces, services, and activities that are accessible to all residents. Devin lives in Skowhegan with her daughter, Harlee, and is often found supporting local businesses and volunteering at community fundraising events.

Jeff McCabe

Jeff is the Director of the Maine Office of Outdoor Recreation. He is a resident of Skowhegan and serves on the Skowhegan Town Planning Board.

Margi Browne

Proud to be part of revitalization efforts in the Skowhegan area, Margi helped convene the committee that restored the Bernard Langlais Skowhegan Indian sculpture in 2014. Margi grew up in Wilmette, Ill., and attended New Trier High School before studying dance, anthropology, and photography at Goucher College in Baltimore, Md. She also has a master's in teaching from the University of Maine, Orono. Margi moved to Maine more than 10 years ago with her husband, Kevin, who grew up in the area. Together they own Lakewood Golf Course in nearby Madison.

Sam Hight

Sam graduated from Skowhegan Area High School as valedictorian in 2003 and earned his B.A. in economics from Bowdoin College. He was an investment banker with Deutsche Bank in Boston before returning to Skowhegan in 2008 to start Hight Ford, part of the Hight Family of Dealerships begun by his great-grandfather Walter H. Hight in 1911. Sam and his wife, Amanda, welcomed a baby girl, Hadley, in October 2018. They live in Norridgewock at the Somerview Farm with their goldendoodle, Somerset, and her goat and chicken friends. Sam joined Main Street to help increase the sustainability of new and existing businesses in Skowhegan and create a viable community for young, smart, energetic entrepreneurs to prosper and build roots. He has served as chair of the Business Enhancement Committee since 2014.
