Public Gardens

Main Street Skowhegan garden volunteers play a major role in our community's ongoing revitalization. They have vastly improved the landscape in downtown Skowhegan by transforming a dead triangular space in the heart of town into a lovely public garden known as the Triangle Garden.

Our head garden coordinator (and 2017 Volunteer of the Year), Patricia Horine, makes plans each year, coordinates volunteer parties, and engages students, the Skowhegan Rotary Club, and other groups to plant flowers, clean up garden beds, and perform ongoing maintenance.
